Natalie Bryson
Provisional Psychologist with Heart, Lived Experience, and a Genuine Knack for Meeting People Where They Are
Natalie is a Provisional Psychologist, former secondary school teacher, yoga teacher, and mum of two — and the combination of those roles has shaped a practice that is warm, grounded, and genuinely human.
Areas of focus:
- Anxiety, stress, and emotional wellbeing
- School challenges: motivation, executive functioning, learning difficulties, transitions
- Adolescent identity, relationships, and self-esteem
- Burnout, life transitions, and adjusting to change
- Chronic illness, grief, and navigating uncertainty
- Confidence and resilience building across all ages
Natalie works with young people aged 12 and over, as well as adults. Whether you're a teenager trying to find your footing at school, a parent watching your child struggle, or an adult navigating something that has quietly become too heavy to carry alone — there is space for you here.
Her background
Before training as a psychologist, Natalie spent years working alongside young people in secondary schools — helping them manage the real, layered pressures of learning, belonging, and becoming. That experience gave her an unusually clear window into adolescent development and the school environment, and it informs everything about how she works with young people today. She brings that same collaborative, strengths-based approach to her work with adults.
Her yoga teaching background deepened something that psychology confirmed: our experiences live not just in our thoughts, but in our bodies, our nervous systems, and our relationships. This mind-body awareness shapes how Natalie works across all her client work, informing her use of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness-based approaches, and CBT-informed strategies — always tailored to the person, never off-the-shelf.
Chronic illness: an area of particular interest
Living with chronic illness has shaped Natalie in ways that no training course could replicate. She understands firsthand what it means to adapt, to grieve what you thought your life would look like, to keep moving forward when the path keeps shifting. This lived experience gives her particular sensitivity with clients navigating chronic health conditions, invisible illness, burnout, and the kind of persistent uncertainty that others in your life may not fully grasp.
How she works
Natalie takes a holistic, evidence-based approach — which means she looks at the full picture of who you are: your experiences, your biology, your relationships, your environment, and your strengths. Rather than reducing people to symptoms or diagnostic labels, she works collaboratively to understand what is actually going on and what kind of support will genuinely help.
Sessions are tailored to your needs and goals. There is no script and no formula — just consistent, careful attention and practical strategies that fit your real life.
As a Provisional Psychologist, Natalie practises under the supervision of a board-approved, fully registered psychologist, in line with Psychology Board of Australia requirements. Supervision takes place weekly and as required.
Fees & Funding
Natalie accepts clients through the following funding types:
