What to Expect When You Call

    If you call 000

The operator will ask which service you need: Police, Fire, or Ambulance.

For mental health emergencies, ask for an ambulance or police if there's a safety concern.

Stay on the line and follow their instructions. Help will be dispatched to your location.

    If you call a helpline

A trained counsellor will answer. You can share as much or as little as you feel comfortable with.

The call is confidential. They won't judge you.

They can help you work through what you're feeling and connect you with local support if needed.

When You're Ready for Ongoing Support

Once the immediate crisis has passed, therapy can help you build resilience, develop coping strategies, and work through the underlying concerns. Our psychologists in Melbourne's western suburbs are here to support your mental health journey.
